Fiber optic splitters come in various split ratios, such as 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, etc., indicating how many output ports the splitter has and what portion of the signal each output port receives.

These splitters play a crucial role in distributing optical signals efficiently in telecommunications, fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) networks, cable television (CATV) systems, and other fiber optic communication systems.
